The Game of Lights

A classic game with a secret. Flip a switch and the neighboring lights flip too; turn them all on. Play it long enough and you start asking which boards are even solvable — and the answer turns out to be linear algebra, hiding in a toy. The solutions themselves make patterns worth framing.

./game Play the Game of Lights — rebuilt from scratch. Start at 3×3; try Impossible mode if you trust us.
./summary The 5-minute solution summary — how the game falls to linear algebra.
./patterns Our favorite patterns — solution matrices, rendered as art.
./explainer The in-depth explainer — the full mathematics, from first principles.
